As the managing partner in our Guangzhou office, Ms. Zhong graduated from the China University of Political Science and Law obtaining an M.Phil degree. She started her lawyer career since 1989 and has established a reputation among our clients.
Ms. Zhong advised a leading trust and investment company on collecting in assets, restructuring debts and reorganization. In 1999, she was appointed to be responsible as Chinese law counsel for the liquidation of a major subsidiary of GITIC. She assisted the liquidator in checking various claims, collecting in assets, disposing of and distributing assets and so forth. Meanwhile, she was also appointed by the liquidator of GITIC to deal with a series of shareholding disputes involved in the liquidation process. In 2002, she advised a top shipping group on listing in Hong Kong. As a lawyer based in Guangzhou, furthermore, she was deeply involved in the reorganization of the Guangdong subsidiary of the shipping group.
Ms. Zhong has represented banks, investment banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions, joint ventures, multilaterals in industries including telecommunications and broadcasting, advertising, information technology, property development, infrastructure, transport, hotel and tourism. She has extensive experience and expertise of years in general company and commercial matters, corporate finance, lending, tax-based financing, contentious and non-contentious matters. She also holds the qualification of Certified Tax Practitioner and is a committee member of the Bar Association of Guangdong.
