Ms. Zeng is one of the founders and the Chief Managing partner of Kingson. She was rewarded a British Chevenign Scholarship by the British Council to Study the programme of LLM in Company and Insolvency Law at the Queen Mary & Westfield College of the Universtiy of London from 1992-1993.
Ms. Zeng began her professional practice from 1983 when there were less than 100 lawyers in Guangdong. She is now regarded as a leading lawyer in South China. In as early as 1982, she was considerably involved in the resolution of the first shareholding dispute involving foreigh investment before the High Court of Guangdong. In 1988, as a Certified Securities Lawyer, she advised a prestigious property developer on reorganization and listing. Since then, she has provided legal services of reorganization, debts restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and listing to many companies some of which are listed overseas. In 1999, Ms. Zeng was appointed as head Chinese law counsel by the liquidator of GITIC. Due to her excellent professional achievements, she was honored as a China law expert in the insolvency and reorganization field by Asia Law & Practice in its Asia Law Leading Lawyers 2001.
Prior to establishing Kingson in 1994, Ms. Zeng had worked as a senior civil servant at the Guangdong Justice Bureau. The experience offers her sound knowledge of the mechanism of the government. She was a delegate of the Ninth Session of the People's Congress of Guangdong and a member of the Law Committee therein. Currently, she is a committee member of the Bar Association of China, the Guangdong Institute of Law, the Guangdong Institute of International Tax, and the Guangdong Institute of Tax Practitioners. In addition, she is a member of the Guangzhou Institute of Arbitration.
Ms. Zeng is based in our head office in Guangzhou. She specializes in general corporate matters, corporate governance, foreign direct investments, mergers and acquisitions, project financing, capital markets, tax and compliance.
